Silvia Flores Ramírez was born and raised in Puebla, Mexico. After studying a BA in Business Administration and working as a quality auditor for 12 years, Silvia had her first encounter with Montessori. Studying to be a Classroom Director of Early Childhood Education, recognized by Montessori Educational Programs International (MEPI), Silvia fell in love with both philosophy and practice. This would lead her to study a Masters Degree in Education as well as a Specialization Diploma in Human Development with Gestalt Orientation. After two years working as a Primary teacher in Mexico, Silvia traveled to Vancouver Canada to study the AMI Primary Teacher Training at the Montessori Training Centre of British Columbia, which opened the possibilities to work as a Montessori volunteer teacher in Canada, and also as a Primary Montessori Teacher here in America.

In addition to her Montessori Primary Diplomas, Silvia has studies in Montessori Coaching with the National Center for Montessori in the Public Sector. Currently, Silvia is studying to be a teacher trainer at the AMS Teacher Education Instructor Academy.

With her heart rooted in Mexico, Silvia's great loves are her family and friends. She likes to take long walks, play board games, read, and go to the movies in her free time.  With almost 10 years of teaching experience, Silvia appraises herself as a fortunate woman, considering her job as a teacher, not a work but a life mission. Her vision is to live in a society where everyone is recognized and respected as an individual. A world where adults recognize their own gifts and share them as a source of inspiration to others, especially the children. A realm where more and more adults recognize, nourish, and promote the creative spark in children.
